After Being Canceled, Kyle Larson Doesn't Miss Social Media

For the most part, NASCAR star Kyle Larson is avoiding social media and enjoying the experience.

“I actually like that. You get to spend more time doing other things and more important things than burying my face in my phone,” Larson told reporters.

Last year, Larson was fired from Chip Ganassi Racing and suspended by NASCAR after he was accused of using a racial slur during a live stream of an online racing event. He was later reinstated and hired by Hendrick Motorsports to drive the No. 5 Chevrolet, beginning this season.

When it comes to forgetting the past, there's no better antidote than winning -- and Larson will try to do precisely that at Sunday's Daytona 500. He has previously had some success at Daytona International Speedway, finishing in the top 10 on three occasions.
