AEW Crowd Chants 'F--- Ben Simmons'

Fans in Philadelphia aren't exactly clamoring for the 76ers and Ben Simmons to kiss and make up. During Wednesday night's AEW event at Philly's Liacouras Center, wrestling fans used their collective voices to let Simmons know how they feel about him, chanting "F--- Ben Simmons" in unison.

Wednesday's outpouring of love was the second time this week Simmons was trolled publicly.

The fans' saltiness stems from Simmons' mind-boggling 2021 playoff performance in which he treated open shots like root canals, avoiding them whenever possible. He's since requested a trade and managed to catch heat from just about everyone involved with the NBA, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley included.

Though the fanbase seems unlikely to welcome Simmons back, 76ers coach Doc Rivers wouldn't mind seeing the 25-year-old in the City of Brotherly Love again.

“In sports... there’s been so many times this has happened that hasn’t been reported, and the guy comes back. So, listen, we’re going to go through it," Rivers recently said via ESPN's First Take. "We’re going to always do what’s best for the team, but I can tell you upfront we would love to get Ben back. And if we can, we’re going to try to do that. You know, Ben has a long contract. So it’s in our hands and we want him back.”

If Simmons is unable to facilitate a trade out of Philly, he could always swap sneakers for tights and give wrestling a shot. He's already got this villain thing down.
