Aaron Judge To The 49ers?

Bryce Harper already offered his services to the Eagles and now we have Aaron Judge entertaining the thought of joining forces with the 49ers. George Kittle seems to be on board with this idea of bringing in the 6'7" 282-pound former high school wide receiver.

Before you laugh at the idea of Judge playing in the NFL, keep in mind that he turned down full football scholarships to play baseball at Fresno State. Stanford, Notre Dame and UCLA wanted him to play football and Jim Harbaugh wanted him badly to play tight end for the Cardinal. "I loved Aaron as a tight end," Harbaugh writes. "It left a deep bruise at the time when he selected baseball over football, but obviously life has worked out for him, as he is one of the premier baseball players and athletes in the world."

George Kittle and Aaron Judge tight end combo for Jimmy G. Are you kidding me? I don't even need tape to know Judge can run enough routes to be dangerous in that 49ers offense. George Kittle is 6'4" 249 pounds. The 49ers would have their Tim Duncan & David Robinson combo. Jimmy G just throws it up and these guys go get the ball.

Now for the really bad news: Aaron Judge, 28, hasn't made that much money playing baseball -- $684,000 from the Yankees in 2019 -- and isn't making the $8.5 million he was supposed to earn this year. He's arbitration-eligible in 2021 and needs to cash in fast now that we're a few years removed from that Rookie of the Year campaign. And we all know football careers are nearly over at 28.
