2021 SEC Media Days Changes Venues To Familiar Spot

It's been a while since we've gotten to see SEC Media Days in action. The annual event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and now there have been even more changes made for the 2021 version.

According to conference officials Tuesday, SEC Media Days will once again be held in Hoover, Ala. The event was originally supposed to happen in Nashville this year, but that is being moved to 2023. Instead, it will be back in a familiar spot -- the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover -- from July 19-22.

Here is the statement from SEC commissioner Greg Sankey:

"Nashville's success with the NFL Draft in 2019 was a point of attraction when we originally selected it as site for SEC Football Media Days, but the current environment related to the virus will not allow us to explore some of the unique fan experiences we had hoped to pursue in Nashville for this event. With two years to prepare, we look forward to making SEC Media Days an even bigger event in Nashville in 2023."

Media Days always acts as a launching point for the college football season. It begins in the latter part of July, and fall camp usually gets underway just a couple of weeks after. It will be good to see the event back on.
