2021 ESPY Award Nominees Have Been Announced

The 2021 ESPYs are little under a month away. In fact, the award show is set for Saturday, July 10, which means we’re just over three weeks away from seeing who gets Best Play, Best Breakthrough Athlete, Best Team and a whole lot more.

Below are some of the more notable awards and the nominees for each of them.

Best Athlete, Men’s Sports

  • Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Lewis Hamilton, F1
  • Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
  • Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers

Best Athlete, Women’s Sports

  • Simone Biles, Gymnastics

  • Naomi Osaka, Tennis
  • Breanna Stewart, Seattle Storm

Best Breakthrough Athlete

  • LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets
  • Crystal Dangerfield, Minnesota Jynx
  • Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
  • Chase Young, Washington Football Team

Best College Athlete, Men’s Sports

  • Gloire Amanda, Oregon State Soccer
  • Luka Garza, Iowa Basketball
  • Trevor Lawrence, Clemson Football
  • DeVonta Smith, Alabama Football

Best Team

  • Alabama Crimson Tide, NCAA Football
  • Baylor Bears, NCAA Men’s Basketball
  • Los Angeles Dodgers, MLB
  • Oklahoma Sooners, NCAA Softball

  • Stanford Cardinal, NCAA Women’s Basketball

Best NFL Player
