2012 BCS Bowls and SEC Bowl Games

If you don't want to sit around and wait for the exclusive BCS selection special airing on ESPN in a few hours, here are the bowl match-ups for the BCS and every SEC team.

BCS Title Game: Alabama vs. Notre Dame

Rose Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Stanford

Orange Bowl: Northern Illinois vs. Florida State

Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Louisville

Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State vs. Oregon

If you're looking at this list of games and thinking, wait a minute, all of these BCS bowl games suck except for the Fiesta Bowl, well, you're correct.

After the two SEC teams in the BCS, here is the rest of the match-ups.

Capital One Bowl: Georgia vs. Nebraska

Outback Bowl: South Carolina vs. Michigan

Gator Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Northwestern

Chick-Fil-A Bowl: LSU vs. Clemson

Cotton Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma

Music City Bowl: Vandy vs. N.C. State

BBVA Compass Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Pittsburgh

Early thoughts?

Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma is the best non-BCS bowl game. Georgia may hang 80 on Nebraska and Vandy doesn't get much of a reward for its best season in thirty years.

Meanwhile, LSU is a two minute defense away from playing for a trip to the BCS title. Instead, the Tigers are in the Chick Fil-A bowl.

That's a big drop.

But, anyway, at least you don't have to sit around and watch the BCS selection special tonight.
