13-Year-Old Carson Wentz Superfan Giovanni Hamilton Gets A Surprise Zoom Call From His Hero

Last week when the Indianapolis Colts made a trade for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, one sad aspect of the trade was the story of youngster Giovanni Hamilton, who has been a huge fan of Wentz from day one.

Hamilton, who suffers from a rare genetic muscle disorder, got a chance to meet Wentz a few years back at Eagles camp, a day he called 'the best of his life.'

It was no surprise that Hamilton was hurt when the Eagles traded away his hero, but he didn't let it get him down. On the day of the trade, he went on social media to send a message to Wentz and Colts fans.

“You’re still my hero, you always will be,” Giovanni said the day of the deal. “Colts fans, you really have a real one.

“He’s going to do you some good, I know what he’s capable of, I know what he’s capable of with Frank Reich and you guys are going to go off next season."

Hamilton on Wednesday had a chance to pop online to chat with Carson Wentz's AO1 Foundation, a foundation whose mission is "Uplifting individuals and communities around the world by demonstrating God’s love for His people."

While Hamilton was chatting in a Zoom video, he got a surprise when his hero popped on to greet the youngster.

Say what you want about Wentz on the field, off the field he has gone out of his way to give back. His kindness towards Hamilton, despite going through a tough situation in being traded to the Colts, shows the class that Wentz has as a player and individual.
