WNBA Superstar Caitlin Clark Reportedly Joins Nike With Big Contract

Caitlin Clark is calling bank!

Iowa's NIL star and new member of the Indiana Fever will still be very rich, regardless of her WNBA salary, after reportedly agreeing to an eight-figure deal with Nike, reported by The Athletic on Wednesday.

Anticipated as WNBA's most significant talent in a long time, Caitlin is a sure-fire bankable star for Nike, and the sports apparel company seems all in. Clark will receive a signature shoe as part of her deal with Nike, still considered the world's largest sports brand.

Caitlin's star power was on full display in Monday's WNBA Draft

On Tuesday, we discovered that Clark's pull with audiences was huge, reeling in 2.45 million viewers. The draft shattered previous WNBA draft viewership records. The numbers for the draft peaked at 3 million viewers at one point.

Clark reached the all-time NCAA women's scoring record before leaving college to lead a new generation of the WNBA.

She scored 3,951 points at Iowa, averaging 31.6 points per game (139 games).

Clark's talents are bringing in the big bucks and throwing some water on all that recent hubbub about women's salaries in sports. The lib media freaked out over Caitlin Clark's four-year $400K rookie contract and first-year $76K salary. They acted like Clark would live off food stamps, making their tired cases for WNBA salaries spike without the revenue to back it.

On the bright side, a star like Clark could be the tide to raise a boat — salary-wise and popularity-wise — in the NBA.

In Caitlin's case, when you're the fresh face of the WNBA, viewed as an elite athlete in America and an all-time college ball player … you're bound to get paid, baby (not said in a Gregg Doyel way).
