US Sailing Team Flips Over After Hitting Wrong Button (Video)

The United States sailing team had a dramatic looking wreck during practice racing in Bermuda.

The boat, captained by Taylor Canfield, immediately capsized after the top of the wing appeared to move the wrong way.

Somehow, the boat missed the nearby boats from the Great Britain team and New Zealand as well.

Miraculously, US Sailing Team Suffers No Injuries After Capsizing

Incredibly, none of the team members on the boat were injured in the accident, though the ship did sustain some damage.

According to SailGP.com, the cause of the capsize was "user error."

"Specifically, the capsize occurred when wing trimmer Victor Diaz de Leon pressed a button which inverts the wing by accident when he was positioned on the starboard side of the boat. It is understood that Diaz de Leon’s intention was to flatten the wing, not to invert it," the story reads.

That's never what you want to see.
