'Soft' New York Mets Get Blasted By Boxer Ryan Garcia Over First Pitch Mishap

Boxer Ryan Garcia wants to KO the New York Mets.

After the team invited both Garcia and his upcoming opponent Devin Haney to throw out the first pitch, Garcia says the Mets threw in the towel at the final minute because they were worried that the two would get into it with each other.

"You guys, the Mets just wasted 3 hours of our lives for no reason… and they kicked us out for no reason. So I'm personally going to say ‘F*** the Mets! Don’t ever go to another f'n Mets game again - F*** the Mets!" Garcia screamed in a Twitter video as he was leaving CitiField.

METS WERE WORRIED THAT THERE WOULD BE A FIGHT

A few minutes later, Garcia then said he was going to ‘expose the Mets so bad [as well as] Major League Baseball.’

It's unclear what exactly Ryan Garcia of all people thinks he's going to divulge to the world that is going to have any sort of real effect on the Mets. I mean hell, team owner Steve Cohen already had to pay $1.8 billion in fines after pleading guilty to insider trading.

METS PULLED FIRST PITCH AT THE LAST MINUTE

The Mets had initially invited both Garcia and Haney to throw out the first pitch but reportedly withdrew it after the two got into a scuffle at a photo shoot atop the Empire State Building earlier in the day. Once Haney found out that the Mets were being hesitant, he left CitiField, while Garcia said he would still be down to do the first pitch. The Mets pulled him and refused to allow him or boxing promoter Oscar de la Hoya to speak with Steve Cohen about the matter.

Clearly, these two don't like each other, which is only going to make Saturday's WBC junior welterweight fight that much more exciting this Saturday at the Barclays Center on DAZN.

No word if Steve Cohen or any Mets players will be in attendance, or if Garcia will be walking down with a Yankees hat.
