Johnny Manziel Shares Ominous Prediction For The Future Of The NCAA

Johnny Manziel can't wait to watch the NCAA implode.

Manziel has been a vocal critic of the NCAA for a very long time, and was even infamously suspended for a half against Rice during his time at Texas A&M after allegedly violating NCAA rules on impermissible benefits.

The man hates the NCAA, and doesn't care who knows it. He railed against Reggie Bush not having his Heisman after allegedly also violating rules about benefits. Manziel threatened to no longer attend Heisman ceremonies until Bush got his trophy back, which happened in late April.

Despite everything with Bush being made right, Manziel is still at war with the NCAA.

Johnny Manziel flames the NCAA.

"F*ck the NCAA. They deserve everything they have coming to them," the former Texas A&M star said on the Action Network podcast "The Favorites."

Johnny Football didn't stop there. He thinks it's inevitable the NCAA will eventually collapse and disappear into the trash bin of history, and he can't wait to watch it happen.

"It's only a matter of time before we see the demise of the NCAA forever. I'll be sitting here with a bucket of popcorn and my Heisman trophy right next to me, waiting for the day I see that alert," Manziel further explained.

Will the NCAA collapse?

As crazy as it might sound, Manziel's prediction is far from impossible. In fact, there's growing momentum for major college football programs to split away from the NCAA and do their own thing.

A proposed format for such a league has recently leaked, and spun up major attention online. If major college football splits from the NCAA, it could be a devastating blow that would be almost impossible to overcome.

The second major point is that even if football doesn't split, the NCAA still might be in major trouble, due to the courts. A recent court decision more or less neutered the NCAA's ability to regulate NIL.

What will happen to the NCAA if it's determined that athletes can unionize? Or if it's determined by the courts there can be zero regulations on transferring or payments? The NCAA is already a shell of its old self.

A few more court decisions and it could be destroyed. So, definitely don't think this is just Manziel popping off. There's some serious momentum behind his doom and gloom prediction for the NCAA.
