Draymond Green Gets Revenge On Suns Jusuf Nurkic's Revenge Against Him

The Golden State Warriors didn't get a crack at the NBA Playoffs after falling to the Sacramento Kings a couple of weeks back, but Draymond Green is getting a chance to turn the tables on the Phoenix Suns, Jusuf Nurkic.

Phoenix fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 5 games and Green — not one to shy away from confrontation — took the opportunity to take a swipe at Nurkic, with whom he has a bit of a history.

You may recall that Draymond earned himself a suspension for hitting Nurkic in a game back in December, and the two haven't exactly been on each other's Christmas card lists ever since.

When the Warriors found themselves with a chance to take some early vacations, Nurkic took the opportunity to get a shot in.

Unfortunately, for Nurkic, that Looney Tunes reference blew up in his face like a crate of Acme-brand dynamite.

If you fire a shot like that, you need to make a deep run otherwise you're going to hear about it. Nurkic and company did not do that, and so, Draymond, the floor is yours…

"Ironically, the tweet [that] may have spoiled faster [was] from the ‘Big Softie,'" Green said on his aptly-titled show, The Draymond Green Show, per Mediaite. "Big Softie wanted to tweet after we lost, wanted to post a picture. That tweet spoiled so fast. Like, that’s spoiled milk. Yeah, that is all, folks.

"You gotta be really careful when you’re not successful and you try to take jabs at people because when you really don’t have control of your own success, when you don’t play a large enough role in your team’s success, when you can’t really affect the outcome of the game," Green said.

"When you really don’t affect the outcome of the game, it’s really tough to take jabs at people because you gotta jab and then you can’t affect what your end result is."

I still don't know if Green came out on top on this one. He's been enjoying his offseason a couple of weeks longer thank Nurkic.

However, like we already addressed, he's not the kind of guy to pass up an opportunity to take a shot.
