Fresh 'College Football 25' Details Hit The Web

More "College Football 25" details are coming out, and the game sounds like it's going to be legit.

The first college football video game in 11 years from EA Sports will be released July 19th (early access July 16th), and I've never seen a sports game with so much hype in my life.

It's been a very long wait. The last game came out in 2013. The world was a different place back then. Many of us thought a new game would never come out, but we're now under two months away from "College Football 25."

Fans hit with more "College Football 25" details

With the release looming on the horizon, more and more information has come out, including an official reveal from EA Sports.

Now, there are some new details about what fans can expect, courtesy of Mike Straw. He reported Tuesday afternoon that the option offense will play "a big role in the gameplay" after heavy development focused on it, players will wear down in realistic fashion, and there will be a noticeable difference between top recruits and lower-rated ones.

It certainly sounds like the game is going to be incredibly realistic. Check out his full report below, and send your reactions to David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

The most important part of Straw's update is the part about the option offense being a major point of focus. It was also a big part of the last game - "NCAA Football 14" - but as gamers will tell you, it was simply too easy to beat.

It was pretty much impossible to lose with an athletic QB running the option in the last game released. There was a ton of effort put into crafting awesome playbooks, but not nearly enough into making the computer-controlled defenses that could stop it. It was more or less a cheat code.

Yet, it's still easily the most fun offense to run. Nothing beats creating a 5'10" QB with a black visor who can run all over the field. Just don't make it so easy.

Hopefully, a gameplay trailer shows up sooner than later. I can't wait for the game to finally be out. Might have to tell OutKick I need an afternoon off…..for research purposes, of course. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
