College Football Video Game Gets Major Update Ahead Of Release

Fans are getting a clearer picture of what to expect with "College Football 25" once it's released this summer.

The first college football video game from EA Sports in 11 years is expected to hit shelves at some point in July. The exact release date is believed to be July 19th, but that's not been confirmed by EA Sports.

What we do know for sure is fans are craving any and all information they can get. Fans of the video game series break down every update like they're in the CIA analyzing data.

Well, there's a pretty big update involving who will be on the cover.

"College Football 25" expected to feature multiple cover athletes.

Matt Brown, the top reporter when it comes to "College Football 25" updates, released a new report early Monday morning shining a light on who might grace the cover of the game. Turns out it might be a lot more than just one guy.

"There are multiple cover athletes, since EA is releasing multiple versions of the video game," Brown reported. There had been a lot of hope that Nick Saban might be on the cover, but that's likely not going to happen.

Instead, the different athletes on the cover are all a "current college football player who plays in a different power conference," according to Brown.

Brown also added that the different cover athletes will also play different positions. That means fans won't just have a bunch of different QBs to choose from.

I love the game having different cover athletes. It gives gamers options when it comes to buying the version they want. The more options available, the more excitement and buzz players will generate. It's a very smart move from EA Sports. The question now is who will be featured. As a gambling man, I'd bet Quinn Ewers, Carson Beck and Shedeur Sanders almost all have to be near the top of the list. Have a good idea or suggestion? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
