AJ Brown Changes Social Media Profile Picture To Tom Brady In His Latest Stirring Of The Pot Moment

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has been on a rather lengthy run of not stirring up any drama involving his own name, but that all came to an end earlier in the week with the simple changing of his profile picture across social media.

Brown changed his profile pictures on both Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, to a photo of Tom Brady during his playing days with the New England Patriots. Seeing as how we live in the year 2024 and every move, including ones on social media, are constantly noted and studied beyond comprehension, Brown's change caught the attention of many.

Brown's mentions became so flooded with questions about the Brady profile photo that he addressed it in a post on X on Thursday.

"TB12 is my favorite player ever," he wrote, according to NESN. "I watch the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/disrespected. Yeah, I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s it."

"I did not think changing my pfp (profile picture) to the greatest ever would cause controversy. Take Care."

While Brown's explanation took some heat off of himself from certain fans, the fact that he later deleted the post certainly didn't help his cause. On top of that, a user under the name of ‘Sports Fellow’ pointed out that Brown had recently followed Patriots wide receiver K.J. Osborn as well as quarterback Jacoby Brissett on Instagram.

This isn't the first time Brown's activity on social media has caused a stir among NFL fans.

Back in January, just a few days before the Eagles' were set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the opening-round of the playoffs, Brown deleted all Eagles photos from his Instagram account. He also deactivated his account, but has since returned to the social media platform.

Brown's Instagram account still doesn't note the Eagles in his bio nor does it contain a photo or video of him in Eagles gear, for whatever that is worth.
