'Yellowstone' Star Drops Major Hint About Fate Of Multiple Characters

It sounds like Cole Hauser might be mentally preparing for more "Yellowstone" to come his way.

Hauser and the rest of the cast (likely minus Kevin Costner) are gearing up to begin production on the rest of the fifth and final season of the hit Western series.

It's long been rumored that a new spinoff from creator Taylor Sheridan will continue the present day timeline and could include multiple current characters.

Will it actually happen? Time will tell, but Hauser hinted the door is open.

Cole Hauser discusses "Yellowstone" future

"I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now—well, just the show itself. We’ll see where that leads, but I know that there’s some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor’s ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself and some of the other cast. I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that but right now it’s just, let’s finish strong; let’s do the best we can," Hauser said during an interview with Country Living.

When asked if the show will return as planned in November to finish up its final season, he told the outlet, "God-willing—your lips to God's ears."

While Hauser didn't come out and say it, there's really one huge takeaway from his comments. If there's a planned spinoff for Hauser and Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth, then they'd both have to survive the series finale. That would be a bit of an upset.

I've had Beth pegged for a likely death since the series started. Her living would make no sense, and the same can be said for many other characters. Most notably is John Dutton.

Many fans, including myself, expect the finale to be a bloodbath. However, Sheridan can't kill off every character if he needs the big names to promote a spinoff.

Luke Grimes (Kayce) has been a safe bet to survive in my book, and I could go either way on Rip. But all three would be needed if the spinoff wants the biggest names possible. It would be *VERY* surprising and, honestly, disappointing if that happens. Sheridan has been building up to a slaughter since 2018. Don't rob fans of that.
