Military Releases Insanely Bada** Photos Of Nuclear Submarine, Heavily-Armed Escort

The military has released some incredible photos that put American power on display.

As OutKick readers know, I'm a big fan of the military and history. I can't get enough when it comes to war stories, combat videos and awesome photos.

That brings us to some photos released by the military of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Nebraska being escorted through the Strait of San Juan de Fuca by U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft and a Coast Guard vessel.

Check out the absolutely epic photos of the Navy vessel in the tweet below. It's a great reminder of just how powerful our beautiful military is.

Military releases awesome photos of submarine being escorted.

Do you hear that sound in the distance? Do you hear it? That's the sound of freedom. That's the sound of American firepower on display for the world to see. It's a reminder that we have the biggest and most powerful weapons on the planet.

Our submarines are arguably the greatest invention in the history of the world. The Ohio-class submarine carries multiple nuclear weapons that provide first strike and second-strike capabilities. Even if every warhead we have on land was taken out by the Chinese or Russians, our Ohio-class submarines would be able to retaliate.

The exact firepower of a single Ohio-class submarine is classified, but rest assured it's more than enough to wipe out our enemies.

Now, let's get to the A-10. It's often jokingly referred to as a gun with a joystick. It's an epic close-fire support tool. I know a bunch of guys who have called them in during combat, and it never ends well for the bad guys.

I imagine the A-10s are there to smoke any boat that might try to do something stupid. No matter what, they look awesome ripping through the air escorting the submarine.

God bless the United States military and all the men and women who serve. Let me know your thoughts on the awesome photos at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
