Arizona Police Release Insane Shootout Video With More Than 400 Shots Fired

Arizona authorities have dropped insane footage from a March shootout.

Pima Regional Critical Incident Team engaged in a massive gun battle with Jesus Mendivil back on March 10th in Tucson, Arizona.

Officers were searching for Mendivil in connection with an alleged aggravated assault, according to KOLD, and that's when all hell broke loose.

Police release footage of Tucson SWAT shootout.

Negotiations failed after several hours, and that's when SWAT members breached the house Mendivil was in. He responded by allegedly firing more than 400 shots at officers, who reacted by firing back.

Mendivil eventually died from a self-sustained gunshot wound after police made complete entry. You can watch the absolute chaotic scene unfold below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Firing more than 400 rounds at a SWAT team is a guaranteed way to make sure they shoot back. Hell, fire one shot at a SWAT team and they're probably going to return fire.

Mendivil was wanted in connection with an alleged aggravated assault, and ended up in one of the craziest gun fights we've seen in a long time. Now, he's dead. I'm not an expert, but shooting yourself after a gun battle with SWAT seems way more serious than whatever happens from an aggravated assault investigation.

Just a braindead decision.

This is an all-time example of play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Don't shoot at the police. It's that simple. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
