Hit Apple TV Series Gets Major Season 2 Update

It appears production has officially ended on season two of "Severance."

The Apple TV+ show with Adam Scott about employees whose memories are divided between work and their personal lives was a surprise hit in 2022.

In fact, it was easily one of the best shows of the year, and the unique premise was incredibly refreshing. Season one ended more than two years ago, and fans have been eager for any updates about when new episodes might drop.

It now appears they have some slight clarification.

"Severance" appears to be done filming season two.

Costume designer Carol Deelay recently posted on her Instagram story that "IT'S A WRAP ON SEASON 2," according to ComingSoon.net. That would seem to be a pretty clear indication that production on season two is over and cameras are done rolling on the Adam Scotter thriller-mystery.

The question now is when will season two drop if production is done before the end of April. It's hard to know for sure just yet, but an educated guess tells me it should be prior to 2024 ending.

"Severance" doesn't have a crazy amount of special effects or anything that would require a lot of post-production work. It's not "Stranger Things." It's a mystery about people who can't remember their personal lives while at work and can't remember work while at home.

That shouldn't take long at all to edit. My guess is "Severance" fans are looking at an August or September release for season two, which would be awesome. Yes, it sounds far off, but in reality, it's right around the corner. September will be here before we know it.

More than anything, I hope season two is as fascinating and intriguing as season one. The first season was epic from start to finish, and it ended with a great cliffhanger that I won't spoil here.
