Reddit Is On Fire With Complaints About What People Don't Like As They Age

People are sharing things they hate as they get older, and it's hard to disagree with many of them.

As OutKick readers know, I will occasionally go deep down rabbit holes on Reddit. You never know what you're going to find. It's sometimes crazy, sometimes inspiring, sometimes funny and sometimes downright strange.

Well, we have a banger of a thread going viral with people cutting loose about what they've grown to hate with age, and I think the responses will resonate with a lot of people.

Reddit thread about things people hate goes viral.

A Reddit thread titled "What are you starting to dislike more as you get older?" was posted Wednesday afternoon, and has caught fire just as you'd expect.

Check out some of the responses below:

  • Crowds.
  • I’m finding it harder to deal with the shear combative attitudes of people. It’s not a younger thing. It’s just people in general. What happened to manners?
  • Social media.
  • Working to pay bills. Commuting.
  • Overconfidence, or what I like to call "arrogant ignorance". I can see it so quickly in someone now and it’s not a good trait.
  • Work
  • The willfully ignorant.
  • Loud noise. And I'm pretty used to it, believe me.
  • Loud noises, children and just people in general. Also my own body, back and neck pains are a b*tch.
  • Starting to not like loud engine noise anymore. Especially Harleys!
  • Indigestion. Pizza when younger is amazing. When you get older, you are one bad cough away from killing someone like a xenomorph.
  • Drinking. Still no major hangovers thankfully but that nausea during and after drinking is hitting different these days.
  • My metabolism slowing down.
  • People who gossip.
  • Bad grammar and spelling. I know it's not a big deal, and it shouldn't bother me. But it does.

Can you disagree with any of these? Well, I definitely don't hate my job. I love OutKick, and I think that's obvious. Find a job you love. Life is way too short to work a job you hate.

Having said that, I agree with just about everything else on that list. Loud noises? Check. Not having tolerance for morons? Check. Not pumped about a slowing metabolism? Check.

Social media? Don't even get me started. The internet should be banned for everyone under a certain age just to save people from being too cringe.

I notice the one thing I'm tending to lean into the older I get is my fuse when it comes to handling nonsense is nonexistent. Not sure if that's just part of being an old man yelling at clouds or something else. Either way, it's happening and can't be stopped. Let me know what you're hating as you get older at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
