Mother Of NC Student Suspended For Mentioning Green Card 'Aliens' Speaks Out

The mother of a North Carolina high school student is speaking out after, she says, her 16-year-old boy was suspended for his use of the word "alien" during English class.

In an interview with "Louder with Crowder," the mother, Leah McGhee, said her son was in the English class at Central Davidson High School in Lexington, NC when the teacher was assigning vocabulary words and one of the words was alien.

"Christian raised his hand and was called on by the teacher and he said, ‘Like space, or aliens that need green cards?’" McGhee said.

As we now know, that caused all hell to break loose in the class with one student threatening the teen. According to mom, the assistant principal gets involved, pulls the boys into the hall to get to the bottom of the situation.

"The violent student said he was joking," Leah McGhee shared the story as she was told it happened. Her son claims he wasn't directing it at anyone and was just asking the teacher if that was an acceptable definition.

"We cannot for the life of us figure out why this has spun out of control," the mother added.

In another interview McGhee did with the Charlotte-based Peter Kaliner Show, mom says her family has hired a lawyer to handle the case.

"We’ve never been in a situation like this," she told Kaliner. "The label of racism in today’s world is so strong that I feel like we do not need to tackle this giant on our own. We’ve done it out of excessive precaution."

The suspension of the North Carolina boy for uttering aliens "needing a green card" as the school allegedly wrote in his suspension letter might remind some of you of the late 2022 suspension of North Carolina State announcer Gary Hahn for his use of "illegal aliens" during a college football bowl game.

His crime that day? He said, "Down among all the illegal aliens in El Paso it’s UCLA 14 and Pittsburgh 6."

N.C. State's broadcast partner, Learfield, suspended Hahn over the reference.

On January 4, 2023, Hahn was reinstated to his job

Two weeks ago, Hahn retired from his position after 34 years of employment as the voice of the Wolfpack.

The left now wants you to believe that you're racist if you utter "illegal alien"

In a wild twist, the Merriam-Webster dictionary has yet to pull "illegal alien" from its…dictionary. The famous dictionary defines "illegal alien" as "a foreign person who is living in a country without having official permission to live there."
