Kristi Noem Gives Disastrous Interview Amid Ongoing Backlash: VIDEOS

Kristi Noem should probably stop doing interviews for the foreseeable future.

The South Dakota Governor has become arguably the most disliked politician in America after she wrote in her upcoming book that she shot her 14-month-old dog because it killed chickens and was aggressive with her.

Most people would probably think heavy training is in order for a 14-month-old hunting dog with behavioral issues. Noem chose to go Al Capone on it instead.

Amid backlash for that admission, it was revealed that she also claimed in her book to have met North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

"Through my tenure on the House Armed Services Committee. I had the chance to travel to many countries to meet with world leaders. I remember when I met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. I’m sure he underestimated me, having no clue about my experience staring down little tyrants (I’d been a children’s pastor, after all)," Noem writes in "No Going Back," according to Politico. There's no proof any such meeting ever occurred, and Noem's camp has since indicated it was an error.

Kristi Noem gives all-time bad interview.

Well, she thought it was a good idea to go on CBS' "Face the Nation" over the weekend to address all the issues, and the interview was painful to watch.

Watch the clips below, and do your best to not physically cringe.

Noem needs to fire whoever is giving her advice because she's just digging the hole deeper and deeper. I still can't believe these clips are real, especially the comments about North Korea.

"There's some specifics I'm not willing to share with you."

What a quote on a national news show. Does Kristi Noem think she was on SEAL Team 6? She's the Governor of a small state (a state I love, for the record!) and a former Congresswoman. Yet, she's talking like she knows serious secrets related to world leaders.

The only difference between her and a Tier One operator who might say the same line is that the latter has good reason for being coy. Noem does not.

I have no idea how Noem fixes the situation, but I know for sure that continuing to give interviews is a horrible idea. Shut it down until you can figure out what the hell is going on. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
