John Lennon And Paul McCartney's Sons Release Song Together

Lennon and McCartney are back together!

That's right - well, technically that is. That's because the sons of John Lennon and Paul McCartney have teamed up and released an original song for the first time ever.

‘Primrose Hill,’ showcases the two Beatles' great's offspring encompassing a similar sound to what their fathers created all those decades ago.

"Today I am so very excited to share my latest song co-written by my friend Sean Ono Lennon, " James McCartney wrote. (Fun trivia - Paul McCartney's first name is actually James, but he opted to go by Paul as he was growing up.)

"With the release of this song, it feels like we're really getting the ball rolling, and I am so excited to continue to share music with you," James continued.

James had previously been involved in some of his father's solo projects in the mid 2010's before taking a hiatus from music entirely. However, he's now back to it full time with the release of "Primrose Hill," named after a popular British location.

Meanwhile, Sean Lennon has been releasing music his entire life.

As far as what ‘Primrose’ sounds like - the song is actually pretty solid. It's definitely inspired their father's band, but still has a bit of a modern touch to it. Is there a place for this type of music in 2024? Absolutely - although it may not be mainstream. Which honestly, may not be a bad thing based on how terrible that is.

Both George Harrison and Ringo Starr have children that also play music… so are you thinking what I'm thinking? Someone's gotta make it happen, right?
