J.K. Simmons Terrifies In Trailer For Serial Killer Movie

J.K. Simmons' new film "You Can't Run Forever" looks terrifying.

The plot of the movie is described as, "Miranda, a young woman already suffering from acute anxiety due to a past tragedy, faces a new terror when a serial killer chooses her as his new target. In a harrowing hunt through the woods, Miranda finds strength she never knew she had as she tries to elude her murderous tracker."

Does that sound interesting to you? Well, just wait until you watch the trailer. Give it a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

J.K. Simmons terrifies in trailer for new movie.

What do we all think about the trailer? I think it's safe to say it's pretty damn terrifying and sinister. Who knew J.K. Simmons could be so cold and calculating as a murderer?

Generally speaking, when you think of Simmons, you don't think of a monster who is gunning down people. He's the man who starred in "Whiplash," "La La Land," "Spider-Man," "Juno" and "Night Sky."

Now, he's turning the page and playing a serial killer hunting a woman and leaving a trail of blood and destruction behind him.

At the very least, it's a very interesting change of pace for the actor. It's also worth noting Simmons is criminally underrated in Hollywood. He's not as underrated as a guy like Walton Goggins, but he 100% flies under the radar. Yes, he is well-decorated, but in terms of name recognition, he's not near the top of the list like he should be.

It should be a very fun time to see what happens with "You Can't Run Forever" when it's released this Friday. Let me know your thoughts on Simmons' latest movie at David.Hookstead@outkick.com
