Halle Berry's New Horror Movie Looks Downright Terrifying: PREVIEW
Halle Berry's new horror movie "Never Let Go" might stop people from sleeping at night.
The plot of the film with the Hollywood star is described as below:
"In this new psychological thriller, as an evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother, played by Academy Award® Winner Halle Berry (Actress in a Leading Role, 2001 – Monster’s Ball), and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival."
Sounds pretty terrifying, right? Well, the short teaser trailer will send a chill down your spine. Give it a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Halle Berry stars in the new horror movie "Never Let Go."
I know the teaser isn't much to go off of, but it's clear this horror movie is going to take itself very seriously. One of the biggest pitfalls in the horror genre is that the story has to be completely serious or not serious at all. It's very hard to try to do both and find success.
In fact, the only film series that managed to be very dark and also light at the same time were the "Fear Street" films from Netflix. You have to pick a lane.
There's no doubt "Never Let Go" will go as dark as possible. Something tells me there won't be many laughs at all.
Also, can we give Halle Berry a huge round of applause? I think so. She's seemingly been around for at this point, and is still in the spotlight.
She blew up onto the scene with "Monster's Ball," "Swordfish," the "X-Men" movies and then the biggest of them all: Jinx in the James Bond movie "Die Another Die."
I'm not going to say she was the greatest Bond girl ever, but she's definitely in the top five. I don't think anyone reasonable would debate that.
Now, she appears to be bringing the heat with a new horror film you can catch starting September 27. Make sure to let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
