Biden, Democrats Expect The Media To Help Them Win The 2024 Election | Bobby Burack

The Democrat Party expects the media to help Joe Biden win the 2024 election.

Last Saturday, Biden asked journalists at the White House Correspondents' Dinner to meet the "seriousness of the moment." He first prefaced his comments by saying "I’m sincerely not asking you to take sides." He then asked the journalists to take sides by amplifying the talking point that Donald Trump is a "threat to Democracy."

"Every single one of us has roles to play, a serious role to play in making sure democracy endures — American democracy. I know my role but, all due respect, so do you. In the age of disinformation, credible information that people can trust is more important than ever. And that makes you — and I mean this from the bottom of my heart — that makes you more important than ever," Biden said.

"[Trump] tells supporters he is their 'revenge and 'retribution.'  When in God’s name have you heard another president say something like that?  And he promised a "bloodbath" when he loses again.  We have to take this seriously. Eight years ago, you could have written it off as just Trump talk.  But no longer.  Not after January 6th."

Translation: Stop worrying about my cognitive decline and the illegal thugs crossing our border. Remind Americans about Jan. 6, damn it!

Nancy Pelosi is the former Speaker of the House. She is still an influential figure in the Democrat Party. On Monday, she showed the rest of the party how to handle media members who do not adhere to pre-approved newspeak.

Pelosi touted that Biden "created 9 million jobs in his term in office [while] Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of any president" during an appearance on MSNBC.

Host Katy Tur interjected, reminding Pelosi that "there was a global pandemic" during Trump’s presidency that caused his job record to diminish in 2020. Pelosi responded by calling Tur "an apologist for Donald Trump."

The Democrat Party will denounce your integrity should you refute useful propaganda with an inconvenient fact – even if you work for MSNBC.

(Katy Tur best be careful. She doesn't want to be Ronna-ed, as in chased out of the company a la Ronna McDaniel for ideological thought crimes. )

Still, several "journalists" are on board with the mission to help keep Trump out of office. ABC News host George Stephanopoulos is chief among them.

Sunday, the former Bill Clinton operative called upon fellow "journalists" to cover the election differently than in past years, ensuring accusations against Trump are highlighted.

"Until now, no American president had ever faced a criminal trial," Stephanopoulos said.

"No American president had ever faced a criminal indictment for retaining and concealing classified documents. No American president had ever faced a federal indictment or a state indictment for trying to overturn an election, or been named an unindicted co-conspirator in two other states for the same crime. No American president has faced hundreds of millions of dollars in fines for business fraud, defamation, and sexual abuse," Stephanopoulos began. "

Stephanopoulos asked the press to alter its coverage of the 2024 race one day after Biden urged the same at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

The New York Times and NPR used to object to accusations they were partial to the Democrat Party. Neither outlet can make those claims today, thanks to two former editors who pulled back the curtain on how both newsrooms openly discuss ways to influence election discourse on behalf of Democrats.

Earlier this month, veteran editor Uri Berliner resigned from NPR after posting details about his then-employer’s "absence of viewpoint diversity."

Berliner disclosed how NPR willfully ignored the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election at the risk of spreading a story that could help Donald Trump win the election.

He then criticized NPR's use of partisan, left-wing talking points during its coverage of Russiagate, the COVID lab leak theory, systemic racism, and antisemitism following Oct. 7.

And then there is Katherine Maher, the new CEO of NPR. Maher is an avowed supporter of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. She is also a detractor of the First Amendment.

Hear from her yourself:

Likewise, former New York Times opinion editor Adam Rubenstein penned an article about how Times' employees failed to fulfill their goal of being "journalistic, rather than activist" during the 2020 election.

Specifically, Rubenstein referenced how Times staffers did not want to report on the Hunter Biden laptop story scandal out of fear it would hurt Biden's election efforts.

"Many of my colleagues were clearly worried that lending credence to the laptop story could hurt the electoral prospects of Joe Biden and the Democrats. But starting from a place of party politics and assessing how a particular story could affect an election isn’t journalism."

Sounds a bit like corruption, doesn't it?

We are not here to say the corporate media is enamored with Joe Biden. It's not. Nor is the party itself. Both would turn on Biden in a New York minute if Michelle Obama expressed interest in running in 2024.

However, like in 2020, Democrats and their media allies see Biden as the best opposition candidate to Trump. Biden has also proved himself to be a useful trojan horse – a moderate face for a radical agenda.

That said, there is perhaps a silver lining to the media's loyalties to the Democrat Party. The establishment media does not have the same influence over voters as it did during previous elections.

A Gallup poll found that just 15 percent of American adults trust newspapers and only 11 percent trust television news. Congress is the only institution that Americans trust less than the media.

Ultimately, Biden can bank on so-called journalists to do his bidding. But he can no longer bank on voters falling for what those journalists sell. Most voters know corporate journalism is a carnival full of assets for the Democrat Party.
